an alternative to these location if not for friday prayer,
as informed to me,
are the "City Convenience Store" which is 24-hours convenience shop like 7-Eleven.
They are everywhere in Sydney CBD, and as far as I was told, 99% are operated by muslims and you should be able to ask whoever in the store if they would allow you to use the back of the shop for praying.
