Dato' Pa at Malaysia Hall Sydney

In his speech last night, during his visit to Malaysia Hall Sydney, Dato' Mustapa Mohamed has announced that our study allowance has been increased 100 percent from the current rate.

The current rate, which we Malaysian students received is AUS680 (postgrad) per month, which is way below the poverty line/income here in Australia. For example, my neighbour receives AUD580 from CentreLink (Aussie Dole, free money for the lazy?).

No wonder why the most thing that goes in our mind when we are here is money, and not our study.

Hopefully this announcement became a reality as soon as possible. Or before my study goes kaput.
